Hello Sunshine

A design loving girl finding my way as an interior designer. Contact me at HayleyMannDesign@gmail.com

It would be a cool thing to do a series each week of different peoples bedside tables. You can probably learn a lot by what a person keeps at an arms reach all night long. I have to admit something, I don’t even have a bedside table at the moment so everything sits on the floor, and my hubby uses the bottom of a (very cute) vintage trash can. Pretty pathetic, I know. We still have a little wedding money left over at William Sonoma with is part of West Elm and they have a super cute  Mid Century Nightstand  that is just tiny enough to go in our very little bedside space.

Think Pink!

Pretty Like Poesy

I just find Clemence Poesy to be the cutest. The styling of this editorial is what my much richer, chicer French self would wear everyday. Beautiful colors and ultra feminine, I want every one of these looks.

Stumbled across a wonderful new interior designer, Lily Z Design. I fell in love with the little girl’s room she created with pink and yellow (2 of my favorite colors) in a tiny New York City apartment.

I love these rugs so much and would love to have one in our living room.

Oh J.CREW you sure are cute!

I sure am feeling the holiday spirit this time of year. This is the first year Dougie and I have our very own tree and and are decorating our house all Christmasy. We went out and bought our tree and garland last night.  With a grand total of 8 ornaments (we have a whole collection of colorful vintage bulbs that have disappeared into my parents storage) our tree was looking a little pathetic. I decided it needed a little wrapped ribbon job inspired by a photo from my favorite magazine, Lonny. So I rumbled through my craft drawer and came out with the yellow and white stripped ribbon used on our wedding welcome baskets. Throw a vintage angel on top and I must say it looks pretty cute, not perfect, but just how a first tree should look. I’ll have to share photos with you once I get them off my camera. Happy Monday!

I am very excited for this weekend begin where lots of good times are to be had! First off the cutest and bestest friend ever, Blair Socci, is having a little birthday celebration where some serious knee sliding is guaranteed to take place on the dance floor. Then Mr. Dougie Mann and I are off to Palm Springs to stay at the Parker and celebrate our one year anniversary. Oh baby I’m excited!

Two very colorful items I would love to own. Some fantastic colorful wrapping paper and a brilliant pineapple painting. Like two peas in a pod that go together so well.

Anna Spiro is one of all time favorite Interior Design inspirations. She is colorful, happy, and chic, my three favorite combinations. I check her blog, Absolutely Beautiful Things, on a regular basis and I am tempted to head to Brisban just to see her fabulous store, Black and Spiro. She’s started a new series for her blog where she sets up a vignette in her store to go with the upcoming season. Since it is spring in Australia the photos above are from the cheerful Spring 2011 Vignette. She even links it so you can buy every item seen in the photo. Isn’t her work fun? It makes me smile every time I look at it.
