Wow, can you believe Christmas is in 9 days!! Hopefully you all have most of your shopping done, although I haven’t even started, eek. However, I have started think about how I want to wrap my gifts. Butcher paper, pom poms and a little sharpie art from Dougie Mann will be wrapped around our gifts. Here are a few of my favs from Pinterest that may give you a little inspiration.
The Christmas URT shirt, A beard in every shirt! The perfect edition to your ensamble to impress your friends at all those holiday parties.
P.S. That’s my cute husband in the photo.
The holiday issue of Rue Magazine is live! It is filled with fun gift ideas, an editorial in an incredible retro house and a peek into one of my favorite blogger’s, DesignLoveFest, LA loft. This video is a little behind the scenes of her photo shoot. Don’t you just love the song choice?!

I sure am feeling the holiday spirit this time of year. This is the first year Dougie and I have our very own tree and and are decorating our house all Christmasy. We went out and bought our tree and garland last night. With a grand total of 8 ornaments (we have a whole collection of colorful vintage bulbs that have disappeared into my parents storage) our tree was looking a little pathetic. I decided it needed a little wrapped ribbon job inspired by a photo from my favorite magazine, Lonny. So I rumbled through my craft drawer and came out with the yellow and white stripped ribbon used on our wedding welcome baskets. Throw a vintage angel on top and I must say it looks pretty cute, not perfect, but just how a first tree should look. I’ll have to share photos with you once I get them off my camera. Happy Monday!
It’s December! The month of Christmas and it’s time to buy our very first tree. I’ve been drawn to the little scrawny guys this year with lots of holes perfect for hanging ornaments and branches just calling out for some tinsel or cranberry garland. Happy Holidays!
