You can never go wrong with black and white stripes in every aspect of life. I have my eye on this adorable peplum jacket (but way out of my price range).
It’s Fat Tuesday! I wish I was in New Orleans to watch all the fun madness occur. What an amazing city!

Wedding veils and wind make for some fun photos. Although I can imagine it wasn’t quite as fun as it looks for these girls to have your veil whipped around on your wedding day.
A new year, a new beginning, a clean slate, a fresh start. There is something energizing about a new year, I have high hopes for 2012.

It was love at first sight when I saw the amazing black and white stripe pom pom pillow in the Kate Spade store. I’ve become a little obsessed at the thought of pom pom on my pillows and must add some to our home.
Castle also makes some cute velvet pom pom pillows.
A great DIY to make your own
I love the risk of fun colorful doors, but when I come down to it I’m a sucker for a white house with a shiny black door. It reminds me of London and walking down the streets seeing all the beautiful homes with their classic entrences that look just like the ones above. Simple perfection.

Speaking of my love for bows……. How adorable is Bridget Bardot with her big black bow onto of her head? Now you can look just as cute with ban.do and their oversized satin bow. This is definitely the perfect Christmas party accessory.
When it comes to fashion I tend to be a little childish. I am drawn to details like clown collars and oversized bows. I just can’t get passed the cute phase.

Mr.Frank Page Hurst, my Daddy, the one the only turns the big 60 today!! Let me tell you a little something about that dapper young man in the photo. When I walk into a room with my Dad I feel a sense of pride to be known as his daughter. I can’t wait to introduce all my friends to him, because I know, know matter what kind of of person they are they are they are going to love my Dad. He gets along and LOVES everybody and I mean everybody. I have never heard him say a negative word about anyone, a trait that I much admire. All the girls think he’s handsome and the men think he’s cool. His thick brown hair parted and combed perfectly to the side has been a topic of many conversations among young men. I have had complete strangers come up to me and tell me how amazing my father’s hair is. Really it is quite something to see. He is a man of all trades, he skis like a pro (he was a ski instructor back in the day), surfs, fishes, hunts, he’s a boater, golfer, and can grill a mean steak. I’ve only heard him say one curse word (and that was in the past year). He is an incredible dressed men, always classic, the staff at Ralph Lauren know him by name and come running the moment he steps in the store. He has had success in all walks of life. He’s a wonderful son, brother, husband, business man, father, and friend. It’s good to be Frank Hurst’s daughter, because what he is best at doing is making you feel loved. I know my Daddy loves me, oh yes I do. This girl will never have any Daddy issues I can guarantee that. We often catch my Dad just starring at us from across the dining room table and when eye contact is made he just gives a little smile and a hand cuped wave. He hugs and kisses us and tells us how cute we look all the time. I love him so much and am beyond honored to call him my Daddy. Happy Birthday Dad! I love you!
