We had such a fun time in Coronado this weekend. For those of you who don’t know that is where my husband grew up and where his Dad and his brother’s family still lives. We had amazing summer weather all weekend which meant lots of beach time, picnics, BBQs, and bike rides with Dougie’s family. It couldn’t have been a more classic Coronado time. I even finished it off with a fun baby shower for my adorable friend who is having a little girl named Betty Marie (is that not the cutest name?)

I also cheated and threw in a Yoki Shop BBQ picture from Thursday night with my best gal pal Blair (who was just accepted to an AMAZING grad school for her incredible writing. Go check out Peter’s Poison!)

At around 4 o’clock this morning I was awoken with some sweet goodbye kisses and words of love before my husband hit the open road to Project Las Vegas. We promised to celebrate Valentines Day when he gets back, but when I finally rolled myself out of bed, at a much more decent hour, I stumbled up this little creation. A homemade Valentine made with lots of love. That’s the kind of stuff that makes my heart all a flitter for my Dougie. He is the sweetest loving boy and after 7 years together I still think I hit the ultimate jackpot in finding him. He sure is a cutie and I can’t wait to get my boy home to celebrates Valentines Day!  P.S. Don’t worry Dougie, I wasn’t tipped off by the strong smell of spray paint and red paint on your hands when I came home last night ;) View high resolution

You know what folks? I feel the need to get a little more personal on this here blog. Just about every blog I follow touches on a personal level at least once a week and those are the posts I most look forward too. So in the new year I vow to kick this little blog of mine up a notch in the personal department and turn it into something I would actually read myself. I think I’ll shoot for once a week, starting with this photo of my husband looking super cute (which he will probably be embarrassed of me posting, but I can’t resist) P.S. I feel the need to change the title of my blog to “Hello Sushine”, something a little more exciting than my name.  View high resolution

Happy Birthday to the cutest, funniest, strongest, happiest, coziest, and most creative boy around. You can truly accomplish anything. I may be biased, but I just think Dougie Mann is the best and I feel so blessed to spend the rest of my life with this amazing boy. You were a “bundle of joy” and loved by so many since the day you arrived 28 years ago. I love you Husband!

Matchbook Just Married!

Look who made an apperance in the upper right hand corner of the “Just Married” section in the new June issue of Matchbook Magazine! I just love how happy and colorful our photo is. I may be biased, but I think we crushed the other couples….. My groom is so handsome, so happy he’s mine all mine!
